Aaron Mulkey on the first ascent of Tequila Stuntman

Words cant describe how awesome this route was, so I’m not going to say much.

When luck and hard work come together you’re rewarded with this impressive route. As Tanner Callender and I approached this dreamy chimney we couldn’t help, but grin form ear to ear even though we were post holing.

As we got to the base it looked easier then we had thought, but once I was deep within its  clutches I realized the difficulty.

With very little protection on the lower route each move was precise. The lower 40 meters of the route provided some incredibly good mixed climbing on good rock.

Here you can see the upper portion of the route which was a series of pillars into a very tight squeeze at the top which was surprisingly thin and techie. This might be one of my top 5 favorite mixed routes ever. A full 70 meters of action!

Im super psyched to head back here soon to tic of some other good looking routes.
